Description
This bright arrangement of the well-known Christmas song Joy To The World features a Country & Western style feel and will suit beginner pianists at about the Grade 1 standard (ABRSM).
The scene is set with an opening 'peel of bells' effect which is played with the sustain pedal held down for 4 bars. This motif is repeated for the 2nd verse and also to end the piece. Don't be shy - play these bars boldly and with gusto!
Both hands play single notes throughout, apart from the final chord (2-notes per hand). There are a few simple but effective dynamics and articulations to keep in mind throughout the piece.

Great arrangement – I bought a selection of Olly’s carol arrangements last year and this was one of the favourites, particularly as it requires easy use of the pedal! One of my adult pupils performed it in our Christmas concert.
