Here's a fun duet number for beginner primo pianists with a simple and catchy melody, over a more advanced 'Ska' style Secondo accompaniment. Ska is a style of popular music with fast tempo and a strong offbeat. It originated in Jamaica in the 1960s and was a forerunner of reggae.
The primo part will suit beginners at the Grade 1 (ABRSM) standard.
This piece is best played lightly with a 'galloping bounce'. Also, watch out for the Dal Segno (D.S.) dynamics!
