Take a trip back to the Roaring Twenties and get your dancing shoes on for Hats Off!, an up-tempo 'Charleston' swing number in C major for established beginner pianists at the grade 2 standard (ABRSM).

This number moves along at a fair pace (168bpm) but can be played slower and will still sound great. Quavers should be swung and do keep a lookout for those staccato notes which will help to underpin the 'swing' rhythm.

Hats Off! comes with a playalong backing track featuring tuba, banjo and drums.

"I downloaded Hats Off! today and immediately fell in love with it. Fun, upbeat, and jazzy; adding the background track it makes late beginner pianist sounds super cool. This will be a hit with many of my students. Thank you Olly Wedgwood."  Irma

"What a wonderful piece! I have a student who told me last week that she would like to play some contemporary music with a hint of jazz or Charleston and I can’t wait to play this new piece for her at the next lesson! Many of my students are looking for something different and this piece is exactly what I needed. Many thanks Olly Wedgwood!"  Adriana
