Description
Hey Presto! is an upbeat piano solo in G major, ideal for beginner players who are working towards their Grade 1 (ABRSM).
The happy opening melody skips along at 126 bpm and features swung quavers with chromatic movement lying easily under the fingers.
Surprise your audience in the middle section with the sudden mp - f dynamics and watch out for the staccato articulations which will add a sparkle of magic to your performance.
In the last section of the piece, a gradual crescendo leads to a call-and-response between the right and left hands and then moves into a classic jazz ending - as the rabbit disappears into thin air!
