Jingle BellsĀ is a fun-packed duet arrangement of this Christmas favourite as an up-tempo Latin samba - perfect as a showy Christmas recital number to liven up proceedings!
This duet is in F major and dashes along at a merry 110 bpm (duple time), so the quarter note crotchet pulse is quite fast! The primo part will suit beginner players at about the grade 1 standard (ABRSM).
After an exciting opening introduction, the secondo part provides a classic samba figure with plenty of syncopation to accompany the primo's theme. Once you've got the hang of the notes, take a look at the articulations and dynamics, which will bring the piece to life as it dashes through the snow.
The repeat in bar 40 is optional to give you another verse and chorus. The primo part comes with lyrics, so the secondo player (with the primo player) could even accompany a Christmas group sing-along!
Jingle BellsĀ comes with play-along backing tracks featuring bass and samba percussion. One of the MP3 tracks is for the primo player, and the other is for both players.
The piano sheet music also comes with a slow tempo backing to help the primo player practice before moving up to the markedĀ con brio tempo.
Jingle all the way!

This one was a bit tricky with some pupils for G1 because of the syncopation but still a good piece to play.
