Get your feet tapping and fingers flying with Rock 'n' Roll, a dynamic piano duet for 4 hands. This number is great fun to play, especially for a concert or party piece.
The melody in the primo part will suit pianists at about the Grade 1 (ABRSM) standard, whilst the secondo accompaniment part is a bit more challenging - but not a problem for your piano teacher (make them sweat!).
Rock 'n' Roll features an off-beat rhythm 'hit' at the end of each phrase, so it's good practice for those who are just starting to explore jazz and blues. If you say aloud "1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 1 - 2 - mo-vin' a-long" then the end bar syncopated 'hit' is on the word 'long'.
This piece also offers a useful opportunity for primo players to practice counting rests, especially after each 2 bar phrase in the opening melody and also during the variation in section B.
Need someone to play the accompaniment part? No problem! This sheet music comes with a play-along MP3 backing track for the primo player featuring the secondo part.
Rock 'n' Roll baby!
