Get into a relaxed reggae groove with Echo, a laid-back piano solo in A minor, ideal for beginner pianists at the grade 1 level (ABRSM).
Have you ever shouted, "Echo!" near a mountain or valley, waiting to hear the response... "echo!"? This piece uses this fun idea to 'echo' the melody between the right and left hands.
Ideally the quavers in this piece should be swung . However, if you're not sure about how to swing the quavers, listen to the performance track a few times and try singing along with the melody - you'll get the idea!
There are plenty of dynamic markings to enjoy and at the Coda you'll have the chance to hear your echo gently fade away...
Echo comes with groovy performance and play-along backing tracks. The slow tempo practice backing track will help you to get the hang of the piece before moving up to the marked speed.

What a fun piece! And so manageable for young piano players who will pick up on the “echo” part without any problem. Although the dynamics will certainly provide some challenge, it is great practice to work on especially those two note figures and when mastered, it most definitely will be a showy recital piece!
