Description
Get in the groove with Noodle Doodle, a Motown soul number in G major for beginner pianists at about the Grade 1 standard (ABRSM).
The opening melody of this piece features three fun 'noodle' phrases accompanied by a rhythmic left hand bass line. This theme then 'doodles' over to the left hand while the right hand holds simple 2-3 note chords to provide the harmony.
The middle section then goes on to develop a little more attitude with some dynamic forte - piano answering phrases, finally returning to the original melody.

A delightful piece. A winner! You can’t go wrong with this piece for your young players. I will probably assign this to one of my boy students, however, I think the girls would enjoy it as well.
