Description
Relax to the peaceful evening melodies of Sweet Dreams, a dreamy piano piece in the key of Bb major which will suit intermediate players at about the Grade 3 (ABRSM) standard.
This ballad drifts along at a gentle tempo of 96 bpm, with the left hand accompaniment moving in arpeggios con. Ped. For a little rhythmic challenge, the right hand's wistful melody is often syncopated across the beat.
After the 8-bar opening melody, the middle section features falling chromatic chords, leading back into the opening melody, played an octave higher.
This piece can be played quite freely in terms of tempo and there are a couple of instances of poco ritardando (getting a little slower) towards the end of the piece.
A play-along backing track (at the normal tempo and another at a slower practice tempo) also comes with this sheet music.
