The Italian Affair is a romantic and haunting piano duet in C minor for primo players at about the Grade 3 (ABRSM) standard.
This piece is marked 'Dolce, con Affettuoso', which is Italian for 'in a singing style, with feeling', so there are plenty of opportunities for expressive dynamics - and please feel free to add any of your own.
The primo part (in treble clef) is played an octave above written, so you'll be playing quite a way up the keyboard! However, this high and haunting melody is part of the atmospheric feel of this piece.
