Maybe You're Right? is a fun Latin duet in C major for primo players at about the Grade 3 standard featuring lots of fun syncopated Latin rhythms to keep you on your toes!
This piece is in the gentle Bossa Nova style. Developed in Brazil in the mid 1950s, the Bossa Nova is most often played by a guitar, as in one of the most famous bossas of all, The Girl from Ipanema (and yes - she really does exist!).
The piano, however, is an important part of the bossa nova style, as it forms a bridge between the Latin and Jazz genres. Of particular note is Antonio Carlos Jobim, who composed and performed bossa novas on the piano.
