Description

Peaceful, calm and gentle... Enjoy this Christmas piano sheet music arrangement of Silent Night, played in the style of a jazz waltz. This arrangement is based on the opening recording from Olly's album CD A Silent Night In.

Silent Night is written for intermediate level pianists at about the Grade 3 (ABRSM) standard.

The left hand should be kept smooth and in the background to support the melody. There are also a couple of poco rit. tempo markings to emphasise the end of the phrase  "Sleep in heavenly pea__ce" (1st verse lyrics). Have a listen to the performance track, which comes with the sheet music, and you'll get the idea!

Even better, why not enjoy playing Silent Night with your own virtual jazz trio, accompanied by upright bass and drums! The play-along backing track comes with the sheet music and you may also find the slower tempo backing track (95bpm) useful for practising "Silent Night" before progressing to the actual speed.

Have a jazzy and peaceful Christmas!

A bit more challenging than the traditional version. Used this for sight reading with higher grade students.

    Bit hard for me
