Enter the mysterious world of spies and top secret documents... Top Secret is a modern piano piece with a pop style in D major, ideal for established intermediate pianists at about the Grade 4 (ABRSM) standard.
The right hand sets the scene with a Middle-Eastern sounding introduction, con Ped.
This descending scale is all syncopated apart from the first note! To help you get the hang of this, try saying "Doo be doo doo doo doo doo doo" (the 'be' is shorter than the 'doo'!).
During the middle section, the secret gets out with a bluesy written improvisation building up to fortissimo with syncopated full chords in the right hand and octaves in the left.
The spies then take cover once again with a D.C. al coda -Â back to the original melody.
Shh... Don't tell anyone!
